Volkswagen presents its new logo in Frankfurt
The new Volkswagen logo presented at the Frankfurt Motor Show marks the arrival of a new era for the German manufacturer. Introduced earlier this month, the new Volkswagen logo is an evolution and not a revolution, but it still sounds the beginning of a new philosophy for Volkswagen.
The new Volkswagen logo is in 2 dimensions instead of 3 and although the letters "V" and "W" are always prominent, the two letters are no longer touching, and the "W" no longer touches the circle surrounding the logo.
"The new brand design marks the start of the new era for Volkswagen," Jürgen Stackmann, Member of the Brand Board of Management says. "By formulating new content and with new products, the brand is undergoing a fundamental transformation towards a future with a neutral emission balance for everyone. Now is the right time to make the new attitude of our brand visible to the outside world."
